Daves tip for the month:
A good rule of thumb for needle changing.
Start with a new needle, fill 5 bobbins and after using those 5 bobbins you should change your needle. Now if you are sewing through some pretty heavy material then I would suggest changing after about 2 bobbins. This will help to ensure you are always using a good sharp needle.
